Niacinamide is the biologically active form of niacin, Vitamin B3. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) increases the rate of skin exfoliation and increases moisture barrier repair. I have had many people ask- and assume that Propylene Glycol is a toxic product. It is not. It is a common cosmetic and food additive.
Propylene Glycol - Often derived from lactic acid, glucose, or
seaweed. It is the most common moisture carrying ingredient other than water. Propylene Glycol is an emollient.It can penetrate the outermost layer of the skin cells and carry other beneficial products deeper into the epidermis.
Not to be
confused with Ethyl Glycol which is used in anti-freeze and other chemical based
products.
